Food - Trader Joe’s Haul 2

I love fresh, good- looking produce and fun, “worth it” treats. Recently I found beautiful veg and delicious chocolate at Trader Joe’s that I can highly recommend!

Please notice the mushrooms!

I don’t even like mushrooms but these are just so adorable! The recipe (shown on another blog post for risotto) called for mushrooms so I had to find some. These are brown beech mushrooms and they were delicious! I also found the sage, thyme, chives, lemon, blackberries and shallots at Trader Joe’s. I have a rosemary plant and already had garlic on hand. All the produce was so fresh and reasonable.

These mushrooms deserve two photos.

This is how they looked out of the package before I sliced them. I can’t handle the cuteness. Sorry for geeking out on mushrooms.

Thomcord Grapes

These are THE BEST grapes I’ve ever eaten! They’re a cross between Concord and Thompson varieties. I feel like I’ve never really known what grapes taste like until I tasted these.

Delicata Squash

This delicata squash was a first for me. The recipe is on a previous blog post (Autumn Dinner). This is how it looks after de-seeding and slicing. How pretty! It was delicious, too!

Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

After enjoying all that healthy veg, a little treat is in order. These come in a small tub and don’t last long in our house. I try to restrain myself to two at a time after a meal or as an occasional treat. I MAY partake in a few more than that at times. ;)
