Outings - Winter
There are so many fun things to do in our area in the wintertime. This year, we ventured out to enjoy the festivities!
As Isaac Concert
We kicked off the Christmas season in the best way! The amazing group, “As Isaac” performed at the former Mountain Opry site on Signal Mountain, in what has become a wonderful tradition! They are incredible singers and musicians who sing Christian and secular music. They always invite guest performers to join them on stage, too. It’s a warm, joyful, worshipful experience that definitely gets you in the Christmas spirit!
Family Night
A few days later, our daughters came home for Christmas! We try to go out to eat at a local restaurant at least once while they’re home. This year, we went to Ernest Chinese in downtown Chattanooga and it was delicious! I love the atmosphere, as well.
I ordered the wonton soup and lomein. We shared a plate of crab Rangoons. Trust me, get them.
There’s nothing like having your kids home for Christmas!
See Rock City
Family Fun Night
We drove up to Lookout Mountain to famous “Rock City” to walk through their “Enchanted Garden of Lights”.
Rock City is known for their “ red barn advertising” over the decades and is open year-round, with seasonal events to enjoy.
Party of Five
Lizzy’s boyfriend, Scott, joined us for Christmas!
Daddy/daughter time
While the girls were home, David and Hannah went to see our boat one afternoon. Lizzy was under the weather so we stayed home together. We’ve had this boat since Hannah was about eight years old. She’s 29 now. Special place.
Happy New Year!
2025
After the girls left, David and I welcomed in the new year with a quiet New Year’s Eve at home and champagne toast, and a walk in the woods on New Year’s Day at McCoy.
